Connectivity in lighting
The greenway, developed since 2007 by the Agglo de Brive along its main rivers, the Corrèze and the Vézère, connects the Granges bridge in Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche to the Aubazine station, town from Dampniat, i.e. 18 km in total.
The way is lit by led candelabra with movement detection. The Ello luminaire from Abel Éclairage was chosen for its slim and timeless shape. Its flat and airy design can accommodate smart lighting equipment: a communication node positioned on top of the luminaire and an integrated presence sensor on the bottom of the foundry.
The connectivity created between the light points is used to configure a dynamic light path type lighting. This was the wish of the Agglo on this project: to optimize the lighting according to the frequentation in a logic of energy saving.
The solution proposed by Abel Éclairage is a lighting environment reduced to 10W in standby and an increase in power to 30W for 40 seconds after detection. The light points of the promenade thus remain lit at a sufficient level at night for comfort and visibility, and increase in intensity as soon as someone passes by. The first luminaire triggers the lighting of the next two. Gradually, the luminaire preceding the trigger luminaire and the two following it remain on for 40 seconds.
The promenade counts 107 Ello luminaires currently in use.
